According to a research firm IDC it was seen that Samsung phones broke a record of 42.2. Million units in the first phase in the year 2012 which is a 267% rise compared to the previous year's 11.5 million units. For analyzing the reports well a mobile analyst company Juniper reported that Samsung indeed shipped about 46.9 million smartphones in the first three months compared to 35.1 million Apple smartphones.

Though both Samsung and Apple strived hard in the competition of Smartphones by focusing and increasing their growth in key areas, Samsung beat Apple and took the crown. Apple launched its iPhone 4S while Samsung rejoiced with its latest Galaxy. It is true that Apple is indeed a very reputed company and has good standard in the market one should not forget that the Apple company just produces and sells one kind of device whereas the Samsung company sells different kinds of devices.
